June 2026 closed out the second quarter with a mixed picture across asset classes. Commodities fell -10.49% for the month, their second consecutive decline after May’s -7.53% drop. Despite giving back ground over the past two months, Commodities still hold a +24.03% gain for the year.
World Stocks edged up +0.59% in June, bringing their year-to-date return to +14.65% and securing the second spot on the scoreboard. U.S. Stocks gave back -1.03% after two strong months, though they remain up +10.10% on the year. U.S. Real Estate gained +1.31%, lifting its YTD to +9.75%.
Managed Futures declined -1.09% in June, ending a streak of two consecutive positive months (April / May). This is only their second negative month of 2026, with the other being a -0.83% dip in March. For the quarter, Managed Futures returned +1.71%, and they sit at +9.28% year-to-date. Through six months, they have delivered positive returns in four out of six months, with both drawdowns remaining contained at around one percent.
Hedge Funds added +0.52% in June for a +9.22% YTD return, while Bonds gained +0.27% and Cash posted +0.32%, bringing their respective year-to-date figures to +0.74% and +1.86%.
Looking at the full second quarter, U.S. Stocks led with a +15.12% quarterly gain, followed by World Stocks at +12.39% and U.S. Real Estate at +8.67%. Commodities were the clear laggard in Q2, losing -11.31% for the quarter.
At the halfway mark of 2026, all eight asset classes remain in positive territory for the year, with World Stocks, Commodities, and U.S. Stocks occupying the top three spots.
