Attain Funds February Performance
Well, there goes our perfect game. After 6 plus months of collective gains for the Attain Family of Funds, and a great start to the year – each of our managed futures funds posted small losses in February. The good news, three of four funds still remain positive on the year. The market consolidation in commodities, currencies, and fixed income were the main culprits for the down month, with months long trends slowing down.
Where Do We Put All This Oil?
For the first time in forever, our nation is presented with a problem we wish we had in the past… where do we put all the oil? Think about it, some might argue that wars have been started over how much oil we have. Bloomberg is out with a chart showing Cushing Oklahoma could run out of storage in a just a couple months if projected growth in supplies continues.

You might be surprised as to who’s on top and who’s not.

The mention of general asset class performance (i.e. managed futures did well, stocks were down, bonds were up) is based on RCM’s direct experience in those asset classes, estimates of performance of dozens of CTAs followed by RCM, and averaging of various indices designed to track said asset classes.
The mention of market based performance (i.e. Corn was up 5% today) reflects all available information as of the time and date of the publication.
